Silkyhaus
Brocade and Leather
Where heritage brocade weaving meets carefully selected full-grain leather, each piece is designed to bring together texture, structure, and lasting elegance—crafted to be cherished for years to come.
The Craft of Silkyhaus
At Silkyhaus, craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we create. We design for modern women who value beauty with substance, bringing together heritage brocade, refined leatherwork, and contemporary form in pieces made to last beyond a single season.
Depending on complexity, each bag takes 60–90 days to complete and moves through 20 artisanal steps, from material preparation and pattern cutting to assembly and final finishing. Every detail reflects our commitment to precision, balance, and enduring quality.
The Silkyhaus Studio
Every Silkyhaus design begins with proportion, texture, and purpose. In our studio, brocade is considered not as decoration alone, but as material with movement, character, and lasting presence—paired with refined leatherwork to create pieces that feel distinctive, modern, and quietly luxurious.
Bring to Life
The subtle variations in the texture and natural luster of hand-embroidered threads
The unique texture and feel of traditional weaving
The natural softness and refined texture of leather after being hammered and polished
The warmth and unique spirit that artisans infuse into their creations
Handcrafted
Silkyhaus’s leather craftsmanship is rooted in the classic techniques of traditional leather workshops in Florence, Italy, and employs a variety of handcrafted methods.
The precision of handcrafted work, the spontaneous and natural textures, and the subtle nuances of the stitching—these are the unique hallmarks of handmade craftsmanship, making each bag a one-of-a-kind piece.
Grinding and Polishing
The textured areas are hand-scraped and shaped, the soft areas are kneaded to loosen the fibers and enhance toughness, and the glossy areas are polished and oiled for maintenance, giving the leather a refined texture and a warm luster.
